Blessed is he who on the night of Artwalk finds street parking within a block of his destination.

I arrived downtown at about 8:30 last night and had one thing in mind, going home. I was beat.  I only had two missions on my mind last night: say hi to my Citizen LA peeps and take pictures.

I had too much to drink the night before at the Solitude opening night reception. Partied at The Gorbals with the cast, crew and special guests. (It’s cool to get some perks because I do this for free.) But, I did break the whole training for a triathlon thing and got drunk. So I was in no mood to party at Artwalk or even to stay out late.

Last night was my first time lugging a camera to Artwalk. I am nowhere near being a pro but with my new (old) Canon 10D I took to the streets and got these images for you lazy bastards that refuse to come out and kick it.

There was a funny moment when I asked Zack de la Rocha if I can snap a picture of him.

- Hey Zack can I get a picture?

- Sure..No wait. Who’s it for?

- Citizen LA

- No

- How about for EastsiderWriter.com? (as I pointed to the logo on my home made shirt)

- Okay, that’s cool.

LOL. I wonder what his beef with CitizenLA is. Good to see the dude still has some rage in him. Thanks for the pic Zack.

Thank you to everyone that was game for a picture. I took over 100 pictures. These are the ones that made the blog.

Enjoy.

As I was trying to get my settings right for this shot they sat and filled my frame nicely.

This woman had a slammin' afro that I failed to capture but her smile helped this picture fall into the line up here.
